March 1, 2018 PDI Newsletter
Greetings to all PDI and DCI Warriors,
Welcome to the March 2018 Peyronie’s Disease Institute Newsletter.
As many of you know I have been very involved with our combined DCI and PDI research project involving lumbrokinase, started a little over a year ago. Lumbrokinase is a fibrinolytic enzyme, meaning that it destroys fibrin, the prime culprit found in excess in the DC palm lump and cord and the PD scar. Our effort has been to determine if the addition of a reasonable amount of lumbrokinase into an ineffective or stalled moderate-to-large PDI/DCI protocol can assist reduction of the PDI scar/DCI lump/cord. The early results over the past few months are not as obvious or encouraging as we had hoped. Lumbrokinase works differently than nattokinase, serrapeptase and bromelain, and as a consequence we are required to be much more cautious with this particular enzyme. A little more time and data are needed for confirmation of our early findings. Hopefully I will have details of our lumbrokinase research study to report as we conclude this investigation in a few months; stay tuned in.
Because the workload involved in this kind of research only increases at the end, and it is very heavy already, this month I will have to present a different kind of newsletter. This month I will present a small group of Peyronie’s disease and Dupuytren’s contracture reports from different people who offered testimonials about their progress.
Often I talk to people who tell me about their improvement, but I do not get nearly enough of those stories in writing. I can be told 30-40 positive reports and success stories before I get one of those reports sent to me as a letter or email. People can be effusive with their personal success stories they give over the phone about how their lives have changed, and how much they appreciate the help they have received. But it is like pulling teeth to get these same people to put those stories in writing. I really need to receive more written success stories to share with my readers. So, please send in your Dupuytren’s or Peyronie’s treatment success story. Others will profit from learning about your experiences, good and bad. Give other people the benefit of your insight and experience in dealing with these two terrible problems. Full names will not be used, only initials and state or country of origin.
- Hand surgery scars less problem and fingers move better
About 5 years ago because of DC I had fasciectomy surgery on the left hand. A few months later I had plication surgery on the other hand. The left hand DC returned 15 months after my surgery and on the right hand the bump started to come back on the palm even faster but not as bad as the left. With such a fast return and worsening of my original hand problems I did not want to have any more DC surgery again, naturally. I looked around for non-surgical ideas and found your website. I put myself on the best plan and started to feel the fingers free up after two months and some of the lumps and surgery scars soften. I know my hands are a more complicated problem because of the surgery so I do not know how much more I can improve. All I know is I see my current condition is improving and I am eager to see how far it can improve before stabilizing. If this is as good as my hands get I will be satisfied. I am happy with any improvement because my hands were only getting worse before I started to work with your ideas. Too bad I did not try the vitamins and other things first before having all that surgery.

- Peyronie’s disease curve reduced 40 degrees
All areas of my Peyronie’s disease problem have started to respond after 10 wks on your basic large plan plus manual stretching. My 4 yr old PD shows the scar size, shape, density and all that are coming down and even less ED issues. The curve has went from 60 degrees at start and is now 20 degrees. My plan is nothing special, it looks like most of them I see in the newsletters. I plan to keep at this until I am back to normal. Thanks.

- Medium DCI plan plus U.S. prevented hand surgery
doc, please let the people who read your monthly newsletter know how good i did using the DCI med plan along with the ultrasound machine. i had dupy in both hands that was diagnosed 5½ years ago and it was definitely getting worse and drawing up my pinky and ring fingers on both hands. i was learning how to do a lot of the little things around the house like i did before, but I was struggling at work. i got scared when my doctor finally said my problem was bad enough for surgery to cut out the nodules and cord in my left hand and maybe 6 mos later in my right hand. the idea of surgery scared me after i learned about the about the odds of getting the problem back in a few years after getting cut on, and so i got busy looking for ways to avoid surgery, and by luck found your site. i followed all the directions you sent with my order and studied the lump on my hand like you said to do, and increased my plan a little every couple of weeks and in about 6 or 7 weeks saw my lump get softer and smaller. i could open my hand more after another month on the program, and i just kept going until my two fingers move pretty good and the lump is almost gone now. since everything is moving along nicely i have have kept my plan the same for almost 2 mos. i am on neprinol 3/4/6, inflamazyme 1/1/1, bromelain 1/1/2, msm 3/3/3, paba 2/2/3, carnitine 2/2/2, ubiq 0/1/0, vit e 1/0/1, l-arginine 1/2/2, scar free drops 0/1/1, dmso with vit e and super cp 1/0/1 and i use hot packs on my hand for 10-5 mins before the dmso when i get a chance, I keep my fingers flat as much as i can during the day, plus ultra sound 2-3 times a week.
my husband was a non-believer at the start and he said i was throwing good money after bad, but when my doctor said at my last check up visit i don’t need surgery my husband had to change his tune. your natural treatment ideas worked for me and i tell everyone who knew about my hand problem how it worked for me. i am grateful for your help and you can use this letter any way you want to.

- 60 degree bent shaft gone and good erections now
My peyronies was bad enough to ruin my marriage with a 60 degree bend. I never hurt much, but I just could not get the job done any more. I tried verapamil and cholchicin but none of that helped me. I was like that for almost three years when I started on a big plan like on the website. After more than a month the scars started to feel softer and smaller. After a few more months they were gone and my curve was gone. My erections are good now. Thank you.

Treatment made sense and helped curve
Following up our phone discussion, I want you to know my PD of four years is gone after costing me my marriage and a lot of self-confidence. My bend was 35 degrees and the shaft would only get half-hard. For 8 mos I used your large plan and upped my doses every few wks until I could feel the scars start to disappear. It made a lot of sense to me to increase the dosages of all the vitamins and things a person needs to heal the problem until something happened. Now the curve is about 5 degrees that goes upward so it is helpful to my new partner, and I am hard enough for easy entry. I can’t find anymore scar so I have stopped by dosage.

- DC and PD better
God tested me with both Peyronies and Dupy for a couple of years. I admit I was discouraged and felt that life was not worth living. My family doctor almost had me talked into surgery on the one hand but my wife found your website and I figured I would go for it. It was slow at the beginning but then 2 months into it the scars began to fade and my erections came back. I was at Neprinol 3/4/7, Serretia 1/1/4, Bromelain 2/2/4, MSM 3/3/1, PABA 3/3/2, E 1/1/0, C 1/1/1, ALC 2/2/2, L-arg 3/3/1, DMSO trio 1/0/1, Scar Free 1/1/1, gentle stretching for both the shaft and hands as often as possible, doing my best to follow your diet ideas and US to all areas a few times a week each when even the bad hand started to loosen up and the lumps got smaller and softer. After 3 months at this level I look forward to the day when I can quit all treatment because most of the time I cannot find my PD scars, my erections are like when I was in my 20’s and what little curve remains is not a problem, and all hand lumps are at least 75% gone. I plan on reducing this heavy treatment when I get see more hand changes. Thanks for putting all this together for us. I think it was some kind of test for me and I am happy I passed.

- Sex is back to normal again
Hi Doctor H,
The last time I gave you a progress report was about a year ago. Since then my Peyronies is really so much better, like it never happened. The terrible curve is gone and my wife is happy because sex is back to normal, and erections are as good as before. I am on a maintenance dose just to be sure it never comes back again. Thanks for all you hard work to help us guys out.

- Small plan worked nicely, and even better with the manual stretching video
I am 31 and caught my Peyronies early because I was lucky to have my doctor tell me about your Alternative Medicine website. I got the small plan to start with and I started to make slow progress by getting the plaque to come down in size and density, and some days it was even getting difficult to find it. After about three months I got your stretching video and that really helped to speed up my recovery a lot. I have been doing the small plan plus your stretching program and the curve has really responded nicely. My girlfriend has been very supportive and we can now resume our usual sexual activity again after several lonely months. I will continue with this approach until I am normal again or I will add more therapy to push my results even harder.
Thanks for everything.
