February 1, 2011 Newsletter
Please look at the bottom of the newsletter. Special price reduction on Prosta-Support during the month of February.
Greetings all PD Warriors,
In this newsletter we once again show an edited series of emails sent by someone with PD who wanted information about getting better results. It is used with permission, with all personal references and identification removed for privacy.
What is not mentioned in this exchange between DXXXXXX and me is that he has been following his simple and effective plan for about 13 weeks. As you read this story, keep in mind that DXXXXX’s improvement occurred in spite of the fact his PD problem is four years old.
Toward the end of our exchange you will see the email in which I ask his permission to use our email communication. He gives his permission, and then he really opens up with his personal insight and helpful information for all fellow PD Warriors. What you should note in his emails to me is that he has enthusiasm for recovery and he is not holding himself back. He is involved, unlike some men I communicate with who are half-hearted and tenuous about doing anything for themselves. They do very little and get very little in return. The fact is I get a lot of similar emails from men like DXXXXXX with great frequency and I suppose I should share more of them with my eager PD audience.
Enjoy this insight into how one of your PD brothers conducts his successful treatment plan.

Dr. Herazy…I have some questions: Which do you recommend between Unique E gel capsules or the Yasoo 400/400 gel capsules ? The Yasoo 400/400 for the simple reason they contain all the eight vitamin E family members (four tocopherols and four tocotrienols). The Unique-E product by A. C. Grace cannot be beat for a high grade vitamin E product with wide use in the medical community for research and therapeutic applications. A. C. Grace has been around a long time and for good reason. Both are great vitamin E products; that is why we have both of them available on the PDI website.
My first order of E oil was the Unique E Oil….Should I now use the Callisto E Oil instead? No, Callisto oil is no longer being manufactured; that is why we now carry Unique E oil in a 1 oz bottle. It is a very viscid (thick) oil because it is not diluted with soy oil to make it thinner. Because it is so thick the Unique E oil does not run down your skin, but it is slightly more difficult to get out of the bottle. Use the stem of the plastic spray pump that comes with the Unique-E oil as an applicator to apply the product over the area of the scar on your shaft.
I am getting ready to implement vitamin C to my current line-up… Keeping a high dose (3,000-6,000 mg) of vitamin C in your plan is important because it will make the vitamin E you are taking last longer and be more effective in your tissue. Some men do not value the place of vitamin C in a PD therapy lineup because they associate vitamin C with colds and flu. …..But these are the products that I’ve been using: Unique E oil….Yasoo 400/400; Fibrozym; Nattokinase; Dusa Sal; Super CP serum How are you taking these; when are you taking these during the day? How many of each? ; Scar X – as needed,,,but not much pain assoc.; Cannot take Sulfur….Allergic reaction….Also looking for a great vitamin. Your recommendation! I’ve been also taking a vitamin B complex…. If you mean a multiple vitamin, then I must strongly recommend the Prosta-Support multiple vitamin we carry on the PDI store front. We specifically have it available for men because while it is a multiple with a wide variety of essential nutrients for general health, as well as specifically for the prostate gland. The value of Prosta-Support in particular is that it is slanted toward male health maintenance.
I’ve also purchased the E-book “Peyronie’s Handbook” and the penis stretching cd….Cannot afford the Genesen acupuncture pens at this time…If you could please review this line-up and make any recommendations, I need a few details from you before I can comment on what you are doing. TRH I would greatly appreciate it!
Sincerely, DXXXXX.

Thank you Dr. Herazy for your response and information. Fibrozym – six per day as directed – 2hrs. after meals; one hr. before meals…Nattokinase – four tablets per day directed – the same.
CP Serum – vitamin E oil – then Dusa Sal (switching to PMD). These are applied in the morning – after shower – In the order as shown. Several drops of each – thin layers over scar. Don’t forget I am also doing the gentle manual stretching from your CD. Thank you!

Subject: RE: Questions…
Greetings again,
I suggest you could slowly increase intake of the two systemic enzymes until you experience a change in the scar. It might be necessary to later add other therapies to you plan (PABA, acetyl-L-carnitine, MSM, etc.) if increase of the enzymes does not produce scar changes.
Are you aware of how to evaluate your scar(s) to determine if your plan is successful? This is a critical part of the PDI concept for treating PD with Alternative medicine. If you do not know how to do this you are only guessing with your work. This subject is covered in Chapter 4 of “Peyronie’s Disease Handbook.”

Yes, I am measuring and making notes on size and feel of my scars just like you describe in the PD Handbook…One thing I’ve noticed is that the edges have become smoother and the width of the scars also are making changes…Curvature is not as rigid as before…Notice that texture seems like it’s softening…Although with erection, definitely feels like a tough plaque….I am leaving the serum, E, and gel on in the morning about 5-8 min…..So, noticing some important changes, but wanting to remain very aggressive. Thanks for all your help and advice….Sincerely, DXXXXXXXXX……

Thanks for the reply and positive feedback.
A favor: Can I use this brief exchange between us in an upcoming PDI newsletter? Of course I will delete all personal information (name, email address) so you will anonymous. Is that OK with you?
I think there is a lot of concise information presented here (what you are doing to get some positive results) and the topic is of wide interest to the PD community. Let me know, please.

Dr. Herazy….Of course….Anything I can do to assist my fellow friends with PD….I really believe it’s about “attitude”…..You might mention that I run 15 –20 miles per week. I believe an exercise program can’t hurt! Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with…It may be important for you to know that I was diagnosed with this four years ago…A urologist placed me on 400 of vitamin E and sent me home The irony – or maybe the nasty truth of it – is that these MDs do not know about, understand or have confidence in using vitamin E for PD. You were told that just so your urologist would have something to say to you to justify the $125 fee for the office call. You will note that he did not tell you anything about vitamin E, what kind is best, how to take it, when not to take it. You were given the very basic “take 400 units of vitamin E” story because that is all he knows about the subject. This is the reason vitamin E does not work when it is done this way – it is not done correctly. It is not the fault of the patient; it is not the fault of the vitamin E; it is the fault of the MD for not knowing enough to help you in your time of need …March of 2010, it came back…..About a 30 degree bend to the left…/and, about 45 degrees upward at the tip of the penis…All degrees have changed, especially the bend to the left….When I press on the scar, it feels as though it’s softening..The upward bend is taking longer….but I believe that was because I wasn’t applying my products high enough up on the shaft…..Again, at first, not understanding my scar….Huge! For me, I considered it a waste of time not understanding my well defined scar….I do now with measurement, touch, and documentation….My greatest disappointment throughout this process has been from the urology group that I initially worked with. When I was initially diagnosed four years ago, I was told to take vitamin E for one year….After that year, I quit taking the E completely. The scar was small (pea size). No bend, just the small, hard, bump…When I contacted the same urologist, earlier this year, he wouldn’t return my phone call What a humanitarian he is. This is why I repeat that the average MD hates to deal with PD patients, and they show it. …I just really felt he didn’t want to deal with it…So, I just got back on my vitamin E, with no real progress or feeling that it (solely) was working. Correct. Vitamin E by itself is rarely enough to make a difference with a problem as stubborn and complex as PD. It is necessary to “gang up” on the problem with a wide array of therapies that are intended to improve your ability to break up and absorb the scar material, leaving you free of PD. I feel I’ve gotten more done in two months under my PDI plan than in the nine months prior. I have communicated with surgeons, but there’s no guarantees by anyone. Dr. Herazy, something you said made all of the sense to me. The possibility of more scar tissue after surgery….How will my body handle that! And, the possibility of the scar coming back, even worse, was concerning Yes, a very high percent of post-surgical reviews show the PD returns after a few years and is usually worse than before the surgery. When you stroke a harp it plays beautiful music. When you startle a skunk he will spray you. When you cut on someone who has PD he will make more scar. It is what our tissue does as men with PD when injured – as when surgery is performed. ….So, just some history….you can lazer, or use all of the information provided. Just wanted you to know some history about me…And just maybe…..I have helped another person who may be hurting, frustrated, or just fed up! I really don’t think there’s a short-cut! I am beginning to date after one year. I know there’s going to be a conversation. If you think you need some help along that line, check out “Peyronie’s Disease & Sex” that goes heavily into the subject of discussing PD with a new lady friend. If you do it correctly and honestly you should not scare anyone away. And, there may very well be some rejection. But, I think my positive attitude will make a difference in that talk! Cause of the scar is this ….I noticed after taking Cilas….After my third straight day of taking a higher mg. I noticed a burning feeling on my left side of my penis…. Two months later….The full blown scar, and curviture…. Yours is a very common story in which your PD started after just a few days of taking Cialis (it could have just as easily been Levitra or Viagra, they all can injure the tissue the same way). I keep telling and warning men how this happens. Your super-response to the Cialis injured tissue due to over-inflation. And to think that MDs actually tell men to use Cialis and Viagra when they have PD!!! I have seen so many cases of PD get worse because of this huge mistake. You are not alone with getting your PD after using one of these enhancement drugs. TRH My age is 57…..Hope this helps………..It’s more info than I had when I spent months on the internet, wasting my time……. DXXXXXXXXXX
That is it for this month’s Newsletter. Hope this gave you some insight and encouragement about using Alternative Medicine to increase your ability to heal and repair the PD scar.
